All InfraGard Members (and invited guests interested in membership) are cordially invited. This will be another of our “Lunch and Learn” sessions. Continuing professional education (CPE) credit is available for: ISSA, (ISC)2,HTCIA, and ISACA members. Members may invite a guest to one meeting for recruitment purposes. Please share the Eventbrite registration link with your guest so that s/he may register individually and be added to the attendee list.

Please note that this is a new meeting location for us. Many members likely know this location, but if you have never been to the Microsoft location, please take a moment before the day of the meeting to familiarize yourself with how to get there.

Free parking is available in the lot on Queensbury Lane across from the Microsoft building. Parking is free when you use any space that is not marked otherwise. There is “Valet Only” parking, as well, that is free until 3pm. If you have not moved your vehicle from a “Valet Only” space by 3pm, you may be ticketed.

Topic: Data Breaches and Internet Tools Used to Launch Them

Speaker: Michael Gregg, CEO, Superior Solutions, Inc.
Data breaches can result in millions of private records and sensitive data stolen being exposed, affecting not just the breached organization, but also all the individuals that have their personal information exposed. This presentation will provide an overview of the data breach problem, examine the steps, and highlight some of the Internet based tools that can be used to launch these attacks.

Superior Solutions performs security assessments and penetration testing for fortune 1000 firms. He has consulted and led assessment activities for organizations globally. Michael has authored/co-authored more than 20 books; some include: Inside Network Security Assessment, SAMS; Hack the Stack, Syngress; Security Administrators Street Smarts, Sybex; Emerging Threat Analysis, Syngress; and How to Build Your Own Network Security Lab, Wiley.

Michael is frequently cited by major and trade print publications as a cyber security expert and has appeared as an expert commentator for network broadcast outlets and print publications such as FOX, CBS, NBC, ABC, CNBC, local broadcast television, The New York Times, Kiplinger’s,and others. He is a regular contributor for Huffington Post. He has testified before U.S. Congress on cyber security and personal data protection.
Michael enjoys giving back to the community and serves as a cyber security program advisor for Devry University and is on the board for several local non-profits.
